Target Gift card scam

I got a A phone call telling me that my 50% discount was running out in two days after talking with them they told me they were discounted and I would only be paying $50 a month but I had to pay $600 upfront. Is this a scam

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Good afternoon @user_ovmgoa, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums with your concerns, we appreciate it. This definitely sounds like a scam as we do not require customers to pay $600 upfront for services they already have. It doesn't cost anything to enroll in a new promotion. I'm also unaware of any Target Gift Card offers. We take this types of scam attempts very seriously. If you'd like, you can have this reported to our amazing Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team. They can be contacted directly at 1-888-565-4329 and their hours of operation are 8:00am - 12:00am EST, 7 days a week.

If you have gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to:     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
The FTC also has a great webpage on Scams.  Please check it out as well.
For Target Gift Cards:
Call 1 (800) 544-2943 and follow Target’s instructions.
Keep a copy of the Target gift card or your store receipt.
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.
Thanks!
