Switching from Xfinity to NOW internet service
How can I cancel my Xfinity internet service and replace it with the NOW prepaid service? I have been trying for the last 6 hours to find a way to do so through the Xfinity app (on my phone and my laptop) which says that it should be possible, but I cannot find a way to do so. When I try to initiate a conversation through this forum, I get a message that sending unsolicited messages will result in my being barred from this forum. I am fairly certain that Xfinity has designed their entire customer support system to make it as onerous as possible so as to frustrate people into abandoning their requests for assistance.

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

Is it still not easy to switch? Starting to look like it would be easier to cancel xfinity internet, go to a competitor for awhile and then maybe sign up for now internet at a later date?

Thanks for working with our team to get the NOW internet account set up and working, @user_pqfi0w! For community knowledge, we set up a pending disconnection on the post paid internet account. That allows you to sign up for the NOW internet service. We keep the disconnection pending to give you time to sign up and for the equipment to arrive so you are not without service in the meantime.
