Switch from Current Internet Plan to Student Plan

I signed up for internet service when I started graduate school, and I have been using it for over 12 months without any issues.

However, I recently learned that there is a student plan available, and I confirmed that my university qualifies for it.

I also went to https://www.xfinity.com/student and completed the unlock process.

Since I am currently on an existing plan, I am hesitant to apply directly for the student plan.

I would like to cancel my current plan and switch to the student plan instead, but I need some assistance with this process.

Could you please guide me on the steps I should take to make this change? Thank you very much for your help.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thanks for reaching out to us, To be eligible for the university deals, students must be new Xfinity residential customers and complete verification through SheerID. This means they need to provide their university information and confirm their student status at the time of order. Existing customers are not eligible for these specific student discounts and offers.
