Support making me end live chat while on the phone?
I just had a customer support text agent ask for my phone number and called me. He was brief on the phone call and told me to end the live chat, type in Exit. Once I told him I did that, he put me on hold for more than an hour before he hung up on me, never saying a word.
Did they do that just to end my chat and not resolve my issues?

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
