Super bowl Sunday and Xfinity Internet failing me!!!

Super bowl Sunday and Xfinity Internet failing me!!!

I called support and all they wanted to do is set up another SSID, that's not my issue!!

Next they were trying to tell me I am losing out on Xfi because I am in Bridge mode.

Guess what, my home wireless is better than yours so NO I am not using it.

After an hour I just hung up, factory reset the Xfi to turn off their wifi setting they did and I am back.

I a still having issues but I am betting its because of the super bowl, so much for their 10G service!!

@Stein-97 Thank you for reaching out! I do apoligize you are experiencing connection concerns, and our support team was unable to define the issue. Are you seeing any local service interruptions being reported on the Xfinity app?

The Super Bowl has been scheduled for how long? And Comcast had to do an update in the middle of it?

their service is struggling, and they will NEVER admit it. in my area, we have 5 colleges, and every year the kids go away when school is out. internet in this time is fine, i get nearly my full package provisioning.....however , the moment those kids come back to college, suddenly the internet drops to 30% or so of what i pay for. now, a sensible person would make a connection in the dips in service & surmise that the proverbial cup is only so full of water, and the more people drinking from it, cause each of those people to get less water. xfinity could deploy more internet nodes in my area, but they dont & wont, because to do so would be admitting it isnt their customers fault. they much rather pay a legion of indians to tell us to power cycle our modems & apologize for the poor service, than spend the money on upgrading their network. soon their monopoly will end though, other options for ISP's are popping up , like fios, gonetspeed, google fiber, etc, and once my neighborhood falls in their coverage area, i will be leaving xfinity SO fast. TL:DR, its not your device, its most certainly your internet service provider.
