Subscribed, received confirmation email, and then told I have no account.
I ordered a plan using my computer this morning for my new apartment. I verified my email as requested when creating my account and then placed my order. I received a confirmation email with the order date, number, and my ID, along with the billing summary. However, I was later notified that "more information is needed to complete your order."
I called customer service, but the line was full of static, and no other call I made today had that issue. After about 20 minutes of trying to answer automated questions, I finally managed to speak with an agent. They then told me I didn’t have an account! They didn’t recognize my address, phone number, or EITHER of my email addresses. I don’t understand why, but I was given a Comcast email, even though I used my personal email for my ID. Additionally, when ordering, I noticed that they had added "1/2" after the street number of my address. It wouldn’t allow me to edit or update it.
The agent claimed there was no record of me and no account, so I wouldn’t be charged, but I’m scared. After reading multiple negative reviews about Xfinity, I’m concerned they might be lying to me, and I’ll be billed for the year I “tried” to purchase this morning, even though they claim it “didn’t go through" since I received the confirmation email.
Not to repeat everyone's posts that I've read, but the website is absolutely TRASH and doesn’t work. It asks me to log in over and over, and when I do, the only thing I can do is log out. It won’t load anything under my profile, so I can’t even check for an account number.
What should I do? They keep saying I won’t be charged, but the confirmation email says otherwise. I will never do business with Xfinity or Comcast again. I’d rather sit in a Walmart parking lot and use their wireless than use your service.
