Student discount

So I am busy recently aware that xfinity offers an internet discount to those who attend school. However I have been told by Comcast that the only way to get this discount is to present a physical student ID at one of their stores.
However, I'm an online student so I never had an ID. I asked my school if I could get one and they said due to covid that it will be months before I can get one.

There has to be A better way to do this xfinity... I get a discount through multiple companies without an ID, it's antiquated that you want one.
One service, student beans, can verify a student's enrollment and then pass it on to other companies.
Why can't you do something like that? Or is getting the discount purposefully difficult as to keep people from getting out??

Hi, I'm venkat. I got recently received the Xfinity connection and it works pretty well. The have purchased the Xfinity in student promotion so I need to get 6 months of free prime music as per your terms and conditions. But never received any update even though I chatted with one of the customer service but couldn't be much helpful. Hope this message reach you....

To get started, please send us a direct chat message with your full name and service address to Xfinity Support. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send your message
