Student deal for existing customer

I'm an existing customer and happen to be a University student. I didn't sign up with the student verification when I initially got my plan, but I'm hoping to get student deals now, as my student budget is tight. Is that possible to get it later on, or do I need to make a new XFinity account and verify as a student to get student deals?
