Hi there @user_hk2brn Thank you so much for reaching out on our Xfinity Community Forum.  I'll be happy to assist.  Can you confirm if you're away from home?  Also, are you getting this message while trying to access a specific show?

@user_hk2brn, Gotcha! I will need to pull up your account to investigate this further. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. Click "Sign In" (If necessary). Click the "Direct Messaging" Icon. Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the “To:” line, type "Xfinity Support". As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window. Press Enter to send it. How to: Direct Message Within The Forum.

I am trying to watch my normal Chanel’s and MLB/NFL games while on the road. The Xfinity app keeps telling me I can’t do that because I am not at home. I am using a FireStick connected to an .LG TV and a Winegard 360 5G system. I am shocked that I can’t evenwatch WETV.

I am currently in ME and want to watch my Phillies tonight.

user_cca937. I can understand how frustrating that would be, especially when you're traveling and expecting to watch the channels included with your TV package. Some channels, including certain local, subscription, and sports networks, have licensing restrictions that limit viewing when you're away from your home network. To help narrow down what's happening, could you let us know:

Are you using the Xfinity Stream app on the Fire TV Stick?

What specific error message are you receiving?

Are all channels unavailable, or only certain channels such as WETV, MLB, or NFL programming?

Are you able to watch the same channels through the Xfinity Stream app on a phone, tablet, or computer while connected to the same internet connection?

With a few more details, we can better determine whether this is related to out-of-home viewing restrictions, a regional sports blackout, or an issue with the app itself.

Thank you for your speedy response.

yes, I am using the Xfinity Stream app on the Fire TV stick. I could find no Xfinity app on the LG system.

The message I get is Please connect to your in home WiFi. Due to licensing agreements, some content can only be viewed on your in-home WiFi. Browse TV Go Channels.   Once in a while the later statement is to the effect of Change your system settings. When that is selected it merely goes back to the Fire TV stick channel selection.

Not all channels are un available. WETV and CBS and several others are unavailable but Discovery and Turbo channels come through. I could check others, but just get frustrated.

Again, thank you for listening.
