Streaming Error TVAPP-00281 :: while on vacation for my Birthday. Really.....what do i pay so much for?
Error TVAPP-00281 :: received this error message trying to watch a soccer game while on vacation for my birthday. EPL is my favorite thing to watch. My favorite team is Arsenal. I basically only pay for cable to have access to the games. Outside of that I really only use cable to entertain guest at my house visiting. I can't understand why I can stream in my office at work, at the park over brunch with friends, and other situations. Yet I travel for my bday to be in a different environment and experience new things; one piece of home which is access to my games I cant have. So my question is what do I pay so much for? I have a bundle because I was told by a member of the sales team it makes more since to bundle security, internet, and tv package together. Hell you even only allow certain TV packages to be bundled so I have a premium package I don't even use. Yet watching the games are the only thing that matters to me. This type of control over how a customer uses something they pay for is a huge overreach for me, and makes me reconsider if I should do business with a company that likes to place controls like this over their customer. Im sure the reason is I am on different wifi, but I personally don't care what wifi im on. If i pay to have a streaming capability on my computer & Im literally using my personal computer I don't see why I cant be allowed to stream content I pay to have access to no matter where I am. If you want people like me to continue to use this platform instead of just using apps like HBO Max, Peacock, Disney Plus, Netflix, & Hulu for specific content. I suggest you change this, and fast. Im seeing less and less reasons to keep Comcast. This ruined my birthday morning plans. I cant watch my favorite team Arsenal play our rivals while vacationing in Tulum, Mexico. Thats insane, seriously might cancel now because of this. No point in having it, if I cant travel freely and have access to my content. Side note I understand most of this is done for piracy laws. Yet i am personal contract, not a business contract. Personal contracts should be able to use their content where ever they are. PERIOD! If I was home Id be watching it on my TV, no need to stream anything while home. Only need for streaming is when you are away from home. Technology is kinda pointless from that regard if you ask me...

Unfortunately, although up to 250+ live TVE channels and tens of thousands of Xfinity On Demand movies and shows are available outside of the home over the Internet, certain content is not currently available.
