Storm Ready WiFi help

I contacted Xfinity to order storm ready WiFi. They did not knew what it was. After a lot of chats and phone discussions I was getting different answers from different reps. Eventually one rep told me it’s not available to me, even though I qualify.

 So far no luck in ordering and still

waiting to know when I can order one. 
it seems they did lot of marketing about this but are not ready to roll out to everyone

This is a great option to help keep you all connected especially with the storm season getting worse but was just fully launched today! If you check out here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/storm-ready  this page has the basic requirements listed for your speed, gateway, and area since we do use cellular services as the backup option if you are not in the LTE service area we use that would make you un eligible. With that, I would be happy to check to confirm your eligibility for you!

I would love to know if ANYONE in Comcast/xFi support knows how get my Storm Ready device activated?  Yes, I have the specs to activate it ( XB8, 1.2 Gbps, Bridge mode deactivate) and have tried to activate it myself with the xFi app many times and can only get to Step 7 of 8 before it returns an error message.  Reddit techs have tried, Comcast techs were sent out but they don’t know anything about it.  Can ANY tech figure out why it won’t activate?  There is a ticket in to Advance Tech Support and I’m waiting for a contact  but I have my doubts.  

I thought this would be the solution for Comcast outages without the need to worry about automatic reboot and continuous WiFi but so far I have been wrong.  If I can’t get it activated, then I’m going to return it.
