Spring outage?

My internet went out around 9:30 this morning, and the app states no ETA only as soon as possible and under investigation for severe weather. Customer service isn’t answering, I’m guessing due to the CrowdStrike issue. I just want to know what is going on. I had internet all this week, and now nothing. How long is this going to last?

Hello user_52b9jj, the best place to look for the latest information regarding a known service interruption would be our Status Center. From what you mentioned, it sounds like some weather in your area may have damaged some equipment, nodes, or lines that supply service to your home. Have you had a chance to check for any available Xfinity Hotspots you can connect to?

Yep… went down at 9:30 am as well in Oak Ridge North. No further storm damage occurred and we were back up and running nearly a week. Seems like the IT outage may be affecting our internet

That’s my guess as well. Drove around and didn’t see any damage anywhere around. Guessing there is no ETA on when this will be resolved.

My internet is also acting weird but it started last night. Tried to go on the internet and it was blotchy. Brought up task manager to see what speed my windows PC computer was getting and it was in the KBPS rather than in the 800 MBPS (with Ethernet connected). Will cloudstike continue to affect all of your customers? If so, how long do you think it will last?

My data usage doubled after the outage.
