spotty internet connection for seven months

We have had connectivity issues since October 2024. Twice, an Xfinity tech came out and told us that the cable from the box to the house was excellent, but the main cable that goes to the box was damaged. They said they had called whoever it was that would fix that, and they would take care of it. Today is April 24, 2025, and still no one has come out to fix the problem. I have been told that if I have another tech come out to recheck the problem, I will be charged because we all know that it isn't the cable from the box to the house, but the main cable that they can't fix. There is no one that I can call or speak to who is in this department to fix the main cable. I have to hope that someone shows up someday to fix it. This is unacceptable. I've been with Comcast/Xfinity for over 20 years. I'm considering moving my internet to another provider.
