Speeds Capped to 100Mbps
Hello - There was a lightning strike in my area recently which fried my modem. So I temporarily replaced the modem with a spare one I had in storage. I was finally able to get a new DOCSIS 3.1 modem installed but now my internet speeds are capped at 100Mbps even though my plan is 500+. It doesn't look like the Xfinity troubleshooter is able to interpret this. How do i get the speeds adjusted?

Thank you for meeting us here in our community, @JK2024, about your modem speeds. We're happy to help. Did you go through the Xfinity app to activate your new modem? Or just connect the coaxial cable to the new modem? It's possible our system may still think you're using the temporary modem. We can check this for you. Please send us a Direct Message with your full name and complete service address.
