Someone used my card

Please someone help! Someone used my card and I am not sure if I am able to get another one. I read on here that a claim would be made to see if you will qualify for a replacement but it couldn't have been used. What if it has been used? I already had to wait 5 months for it to arrive to me and I could really use it for my kids school clothes. Will I have to wait 5 months again?
