(SOLVED) How do I return a Cable TV Box I don't use?

EDIT: Nevermind. It's just a normal return request. I just wanted to make sure that it would get properly recorded with my account if I returned this new equipment without ever opening it.

I just upgraded my Comcast Internet service to Gigabit Speed. Unfortunately, Comcast won't let me just get internet and even though I've only had the most basic TV service (without any cable boxes)  for the past 12+ years because I've been using DirecTV for over a decade and now I use YouTube TV. Well with the self-installation kit they included a cable TV box that I won't be installing and/or using, but they charging me $5/month for having it.

Can I just send that back with my old modem/router? I may be forced to get basic TV, but there's no reason to force me to rent a cable TV box that I won't be using.
