solar panel connection

I recently had the control box for my solar panels replaced.  The technician said that Xfinity is reading the IP address as an attempted hack.  I need to provide Xfinity with the IP address so that the solar panel array can be connected to the internet.  How do I get that done?

Hello user_b5varn thanks so much for taking the time to reach us here via our Xfinity Forums! Having solar panels on the home sounds awesome! Are these connecting via Wi-Fi or a hardline Ethernet cable? Is the solar panel device showing up on the Xfinity App as a known device?

My question has not been answered.  The issue generated another question as to whether my solar panels connected via a Wi-Fi or a hardline Ethernet cable.  I responded that there is a hardline Ethernet cable attached to my Xfinity modem/router.

On the Xfinity app on my phone, the SolarEdge Inverter has "Connected to Gateway" displayed underneath it, but under the "10 Devices Not Connected" is listed SolarEdge Technologies and it says "Last connected 8/2/25".

It seems like the app is saying two different, contradictory things.  When I open "Device details", the IP Address says N/A.  The SolarEdge tech gave me a IP address and was told to get this to Xfinity so it is recognized and will not be seen as a hack.

Who needs to see this IP address and how do I get it to them?

No, it was not answered.  There is a hardline ethernet cable connecting the solar panels to the Xfinity modem/router.  On the Xfinity App on my phone, the SolarEdge Inverter is listed as "Connected to Gateway".

However, when I click on "9 Devices Not Connected", the SolarEdge Technologies is listed as "Last connected 8/2/25".

Under "Device details", the IP address is listed as "N/A".

The SolarEdge tech provided me with an IP address and said to let Xfinity know that is a legitimate address and not an attempted hack.

How do I get that IP address to the right person or people?
