So disappointing

If you’re having Xfinity for years and paying almost $300 a month mid show watching WXYZ Detroit Will Trent halfway through the show it just cut out and gave some message about not being able to negotiate with them because they want more money. You need to suck it up and pay it because you’re charging me $293 a month. I guess I’ll start looking at other services.

Couldn't agree more.  This is the final straw.  ABSURD to not include a local broadcast channel. AND to not lower the price??

LynnSK, I know this is not a welcome change, but we will provide more updates as they become available.

@user_d7b2b7 Thanks for reaching out about the loss of channels owned by E. W. Scripps. This programming is currently unavailable as Comcast’s agreement with the network has expired. Please know Comcast pays programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and a number of reasonable offers have been made that they haven’t accepted. Comcast is working toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for customers. I know unexpected changes to your TV lineup can be frustrating, and I apologize for any inconvenience. For more information, visit https://www.xfinity.com/programmingchanges.

Well since comcast pays these providers for the entertainment we love and now you're not that means we get price cut right? This is why I keep my OTA setup. The good ole comcast channel shuffle every few months. But you know apparently you guys are the only ones that negotiate in "good faith" is laughable.

Agree that this is just stupid!  How do you feel good about your subscribers losing access to a major television network?  I pay almost $350 a month and you're telling me that doesn't include access to ABC.  And to suggest that I look into other options like an antenna or YouTube TV is beyond ridiculous.  Do better Xfinity.

Hi @user_vtvwhp, we understand the concern regarding the loss of access to certain channels. When a programming agreement expires, availability may be affected, and there are no actions that can be taken at this time.

Negotiations are ongoing, and any updates will be shared with the community as they become available.

After 36 years with them i think I might be done.  I really don't think they care.  Plus switching email to yahoo is not good.

Absolutely unacceptable. Xfinity better wake up and make a deal or I will definitely find another service provider. And don't wait too long either. Once I leave I will not be coming back!

user_hwx5qs, Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. I can completely understand why you’re upset as a video subscriber myself. Especially having a show cut out in the middle after being a long‑time customer. I know how frustrating that feels. When contracts expire before new terms are agreed to, we’re legally required to temporarily stop carrying the channel until a deal is reached. These negotiations are ongoing, and in many cases, the channel returns once an agreement is finalized. That said, your feedback absolutely matters. I know this situation is disappointing, especially given the amount you’re paying and how long you’ve been with us. I can document your concerns and also review your account to see whether there are any options available while negotiations continue. If you’d like help with that or want assistance reviewing alternatives during this time, please let me know. I’m here to help.

How much longer do you think that this will take because I’m seriously thinking of changing services or cancelling all together
