Smart resume

I’ve read numerous messages about smart resume not working, going back to 2021, and yet the problem has not been fixed, why, because Xfinity doesn’t care about its customers. If they did then the problem would have been resolved, it’s 2024, and yes l have the same problem. It’s all over so when they tell you to give your name address etc. you are wasting your time!

Good evening, @liljohnd! Thanks for reaching out about Smart Resume. We did have an issue with the service in 2021 but that was long since resolved. We are happy to help with this and want any service problem resolved in a timely manner. When the issue requires our engineers it can take longer to fix than most other service issues.

We are aware of the Smart Resume service returning to the program 30-40 seconds into the show instead of the last 5-10 seconds as intended. We are working toward a fix for this but there is currently no estimated time of resolution. We would like to gather some further details surrounding the shows you are seeing this on and communicate this to the team working on the problem. 

Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message

Yes, it's purposeful and they're not going to fix it.I've turned it off and I won't be using it anymore
