Sewer Line Backup and Damage

On May 5th, 2023 our sewer line backed up and flooded our main floor bathroom, living room, sun room and utility room. We have had multiple plumbers and the county come to our home to determine the cause of the backup, assess and fix the extensive damage done to our home. It was later discovered that the cause of the backup was an Xfinity cable that was drilled through our sewer line, rupturing the pipe and causing severe blockage. We finally were able to fix the pipe yesterday, and between plumbers, pipe excavation and repair, water remediation, and contractors replacing damaged floors and walls, we have spent almost $20,000. I have tried reaching out over the phone several times and we had a Comcast tech come to the house, but ultimately have not been able to get anywhere in terms of reimbursement for the damages. I need to speak with somebody directly that can initiate the reimbursement process and make us whole again. Please direct me to the right people/department so we can finally put all of this behind us.

@mbzarin

Did you send that direct message?  You should have been dealing with Xfinity Support there.  Did they help you with filing a damage clarim?
