Setting Up Wi-Fi Without App

Just picked up my order yesterday to set up wi-fi and when I opened up the box I saw a QR code saying to download the app in order to start the process of setting things up. Tried scanning the QR to get the app but I get a notice on the app store that apparently the current version of the app isn't compatible with my device (my phone's a couple years old) and no other versions were present on the app store. I saw another thread here that mentioned the best way to set things up if you don't have the app is to get some help from customer service directly so wanted to check in here and see how I could begin the process of getting everything set up. First time setting up internet like this so anything helps, appreciate it.
