Setting up NOW internet service

I have a family member who may be interested in switching from their ATT DSL to the new NOW xfinity internet. Probably the $30/100mbs service. They are elderly so I would probably help them set it up.

They have a local xfinity office about 2 miles away. Can they simply sign up and pick up equipment at this local office? Or would professional installation be needed? If so, how much?

mfranch88 Your family members location will need located within the Xfinity footprint and reside at a serviceable address. They will need an active Comcast cable connection to the home. You can check for Xfinity NOW Internet location eligibility here: Xfinity NOW Portal
Professional installation is not available for NOW Internet services. Customers will receive Getting Started kits that contain appropriate equipment and activation instructions for self-installation.
