Set up my modem

Please help to set up my modem

@Thao_t211 Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. We would love to help you get your modem set up. Please send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address to get started.

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
Press Enter to send it

I am getting no help to set up my new Xfinity modem.  They are telling me I can't use a comcast.email for verification.  That's the email I have.  What am I supposed to do?

Our team can help, user_7knsjt! Have you tried to activate your Xfinity Gateway using the Xfinity app? You can follow the steps shared in this link to do so. (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/activate-xfi-gateway-app)

And, can you tell me a bit more about what is happening with your email?
