Service

We currently have Xfinity. Fiber Optic is courting our HOA community. We are being told that if the community votes yes (we are voting no along with others) that the entire community will be forced to use it and locked into this service for 10 years with annual increases. No opt out option. We want no part of this. Others do want it. Is this legal to do if the majority vote of our community is yes and we don't want it? This sounds so shady to us! What can we do to NOT be forced into this for 10 years aside from voting no? Moving is not an option

Hello, @Pawz The property for your account is allowed to change or discontinue its contract with Xfinity. The contract negotiations must be handled by your property. You can speak with your property manager directly.

  • For a service debulk: You can continue to have services with Xfinity, but you would be billed independently for those services.
  • For a right of entry debulk: We apologize for any inconvenience, but your location is no longer serviceable for Xfinity. Please check with your property manager for carrier information. You can maintain your Xfinity Mobile service if you already have an account, but the rate will increase.

Additional info. Our HOA fees would go up monthly and the payment would come out of it.
