First. When these outages occur are they being officially indicated here with any info about them ?;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.

Or you can use the Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/apps

Yes, they are official outages reported in the xfinity app and I receive text as well.  Typically the text I receive say's something to the effect "we are working to fix the issue" but no reasons are given.  Neighbors are on xfinity and impacted as well.  The service outage page typically says 100-500 customers impacted.

Are you saying that my solution should be to should drive to a coffee shop to use their wifi?  LOL!

Are you saying that my solution should be to pay for a backup service because xfinity is unreliable?  LOL!

There have been fourteen outages of 2+ hours since 4/1/2024.  There has been an outage in 4 of the last 5 days.  They typically happen at the same time of the day.  The sun is usually shining.  These are not unexpected outages.

Hello user_2pahpl. Interruptions can be caused by our maintenance team doing much needed plant work or upgrades to the area. This will bring better speeds and more reliability.

communication is key to customer satisfaction.  If it's a planned outage, advanced warning should be provided.

14 extended outages during business hours over a 2.5 month timeframe is unacceptable.

I know what you mean user_2pahpl, any type of service interruption is never ideal to go through, especially with how connected we all are these days. I'd be feeling the same way if I were in your shoes. Whenever our network team has identified an issue we do send out notifications for planned interruption or once an unplanned interruption has been identified. Have you already opted into receiving these messages? If not, you can follow these steps: send START to 266278.

yes, I'm receiving text but no advanced warning on these outages.  The app will at first tell me it's a problem with my modem and then 10-15 minutes later report a service outage in my area.  10-15 minutes after that I get a text reporting the outage.

OK I'm moving your topic over to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance. GOOD luck !
