Service outage compensation

Why do xfinity conduct maintenance during peak times  (6pm onwards) and have ZERO care for customers paying for a service they can't utilize? Xfinity, do maintenance overnight when peopl are sleeping not NOW. Verizon is looking like a very good ISP now!
