service cancellation

I already cancelled my service for August 6th, which was last week. I received an email confirmation, although it was missing the date. My account doesn't show anything about a cancellation and today I received a new bill for the next month. I already have new people living in my house. Xfinity Assistant wants to schedule a callback for Friday while today is Monday. there is no way to do this online, or even write or call. None of the other services I cancelled were this difficult. What can I do to finally get this cancelled?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_s2gziw, thank you for reaching out through Xfinity Forums. We do bill 30 days in advance, so depending on when your disconnect date was, you could see another billing statement. I would be happy to take a look for you and make sure you are not overcharged.

Please send us a DM with your name and address.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.

2. Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.

3. Click the “Start new conversation” (pencil and paper) icon.

4. In the “To:" line, type “Xfinity Support”.

5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.

6. An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:" line.

7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

8. Press “Enter” to send it.

Thank you, appreciate you getting back to me. I have now been able to contact someone at Xfinity and they are disconnecting my service.
