Service Cancellation Practices

The process I had to go through in order to cancel my home internet service is in direct violation of California law.  Having signed up through the website, there must be a clearly visible means of cancellation also on the website.  Same can be said for the app.  In either, I am forced to go through the completely unhelpful chat which always directs me to scheduling a call, even once I can finally chat with an actual person.  Again, this is in direct violation of California law.  And when I eventually did just schedule a call, I repeatedly asked to just cancel my service but the agent would not stop trying to get me to keep it.  This is again, in direct violation of California law.

This experience has honestly been indicative of my last 5 years as an Xfinity customer.  Poor overpriced internet service and horrible customer service.  I can't remember how many times I scheduled a technician and they canceled on me without any notice.  I am so happy I finally have a local provider that offers far superior internet and customer service for a fraction of the price.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

glad_I_left. Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear how frustrating the cancellation process was and that it left you feeling unheard. We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback regarding both the cancellation experience and the service you've received over the years. Your concerns have been documented and will be shared with the appropriate teams for review. While we're sorry to see you go, we appreciate the opportunity to have served you and wish you all the best with your new provider.
