Service Availability Estimate

(Edited: Personal information) lost service Saturday, about 31 hours ago, due to a large wind storm taking down trees on the power and cable lines.  Within 24 hours, the power company had removed the trees and restored power.  I received a text message from Xfinity saying that the cable was restored around the same time.  It has not yet been restored.

Last night, I spoke with an agent who said he could see my router and was going to reboot it.  It didn't reboot and he really couldn't see it.  He then told me there was a known network issue and service would be restored today by noon (about 48 hours in).  It wasn't, but at least I was showing up as the only house on the road without service (none of the neighbors or the marina at the end of the road have it either).   The outage map said service would be restored by 4:30.  At 5:00, the time estimate went away and it just says we're investigating, service will be restored sometime.  There isn't a lot of investigation needed, you need to come down the road and put the wires back up.
Tonight, I tried to reach a human and the worthless AI agent just kept going in circles, not allowing me to connect to a human.  I tried calling 1-800-Xfinity and got the same thing, we show that an outage is in effect and a human can't tell you anything more, goodbye...
How do I get in touch with a human that can give me an idea of when I might see a truck come down this road? Sorry, but after 3 days of tethering off of a cell phone and having no access to customer service, doesn't make loyalty feel appreciated.

Hey there 👋 Thanks for dropping by our community! I know there's been some crazy storms going on that have interrupted services in certain areas, so I'm sorry if you're offline at your home. More than anything we want your service to be live again as soon as possible, and if there is an area-wide interruption in your area currently impacting multiple homes, rest assured our local team are on top of it doing everything to get this resolved 👍

Have you recently check our Xfinity Status Center for your home at xfinity.com/support/statusmap? If not I would definitely recommend it as it's refreshed with up-to-the-minute updates whenever available straight from the source.

The only thing that has change in 3 days is the changing from service has been restored, to service will be restored by 4:30 (yesterday) to now, as soon as possible.  This isn't reassuring...

I appreciate you checking it out and glad to know the Status Center has continued to update. When it comes to area-wide interruptions, we are only privy to the same information as local teams provide for the Status Center, but I encourage you to check it regularly until your service restores to stay informed. Since the original interruption was caused by power outages and downed lines, our teams may be having to wait until it is safe to work in the area to get things restored.

Once you're back online, you can request credit for the time without service by following the steps at xfinity.com/support/articles/credit-xfinity-assistant 👍
