See ya Xfinity

I've been with Comcast/Xfinity a long time, and in the past never had any issues with the customer service, they were always willing to get me a good deal on internet service. Last promotion I was on was good, and for a 2 year commitment, reasonable, and on par with the competitors in my area. The promotion ran out, and as expected, bill went up. Tried several times to get to anyone in customer loyalty/retention who could actually do anything within reason, but all attempts failed. My billing cycle ended today, so one last-ditch attempt to get a competitive price on internet before moving on to another provider. There was no reasonable deal to be found, or they required a reduction in service. There was no real interest by any of the reps in retaining me as a customer. The curious thing is, my neighbor just went through this a few weeks ago, had just come off the same promotion I was on, and was able to knock his bill back down close to where it was at the same level of service, seems to be their current promotion pricing.

I pretty much gave up on this last call today, as all they seemed willing to do was knock $10 off. Told them to proceed with the disconnect, done. [Edited: "Solicitation"] If they dont step up on the first try, theyre likely not going to.

Its no wonder Xfinity is losing subscribers like crazy...
