Second Service Address on Same Account

I see that similar questions have been asked and answered but want to be sure...

I have a xfinity account for my primary residence in Auburn. Fine.

I'm also renting a space from a family in Hooksett. They are already xfinity customers. They have a drop and a modem in their cellar.

So as to have my own, separate modem and billing, I'm curious if I could add a second service to my account? The new modem would be co-located with the existing modem in their cellar.

How would my second service address be distinguished from their existing residential service that is already there? They both would have the same street address - from a billing point, how do you tell them apart?

If this is feasible, what's my next step to get this going? If it matters, just looking for internet (not tv or phone).

Thanks in advance!

@user_8eb1c4 Thank you for reaching out to the Digital Care Team. We only allow one account per residence. They can provide you the details to use their internet service and/or you can use any of the 8 millions hotspots we offer nation wide by signing in with your existence credentials.

@XfinityHeather  Thanks for the fast reply!

Ok, I can share their internet, fine, thank you!

But curious, how does your "one account per residence" rule apply for multi-tier?

For example, the folks in Hooksett currently have data-voice-tv. Fine.

What if I want one of your higher-tier internet-only services that they do not have or want?

Thanks in advance. Trying to be the best tenant!

We do see the splitting off of address's for scenarios like this. That would need to be done via the post office. For example, people who rent out the basement or maybe a guest house, might create an address such as 33 1/2 Main Street or 33 Main Street unit B. We are just unable to have multiple accounts residing and the identical address.

I hope this helps.

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityTravis Great. I think "unit B" will be fine for all. All set.

Awesome, @user_8eb1c4!

Just let us know when the post office recognizes Unit B at the address, and we can establish services for you. Is there anything else that we can assist with at the moment?
