Scripps Data Limit Waiver

Any chance that since many of us impacted by the Scripps dispute are now resorting to streaming via alternative streaming platforms to get impacted programming, we can at least get a waiver if we go over data limits? Or even better, kill the limits altogether on legacy plans or allow plan upgrades to unlimited with no fee adjustments required?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi there, @kwr510! Thanks for reaching out about your channel lineup. We have unlimited data included with our new internet packages and can look into what the cost would be to get changed over to that. Unlimited data on a legacy package is $30 per month. Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message

I appreciate the response, but I’m concerned about the ongoing recurring increase of $30 per month due to this situation. It doesn’t seem like the most customer-friendly solution. Using the app or website to upgrade to a modern plan is frustrating because it doesn’t account for the current bundled discounts. For example, a $9.00 difference can become 5 times that after updating the cart. I’m not looking for freebies, but I do expect reasonable customer service for my decades of loyalty.

You will get nothing from them. They no longer care about their tv and internet customers only about getting new mobile ones.
