Closed

scheduled appointment

I had a scheduled appointment for 8am to 10am this morning at my new apartment.  I was there, waiting outside, from 7:45am onward.  At 8:17am I received a text from Xfinity saying the technician was there.  But he was not.  I then got a notice that he had left because I wasn’t there.  I used the online service to speak to an agent, who wrote back to say that he hadn’t ever come, but that the agent had spoken with the “tech team” who said the agent was at another location, delayed, and would be at my location by 8:45. I continued to wait outside.  No one came.  At 9:17 I tried the online chat but was disconnected.  I then phoned Xfinity and after multiple tried was able to reach an agent, who told me I didn’t have an appointment.  I read out loud to her the text from July 19 from Xfinity that confirmed my appointment, and told her another agent had confirmed a technician was due at my location.  This second agent then informed me my appointment had been cancelled, even though no one phoned or emailed or texted me to tell me that.  The cancellation, she said, was because the prior apartment resident had failed to cancel their own service, and my new service can’t be hooked up until the prior service was disconnected.  Of course, this could have been determined before Xfinity gave me the appointment.  At every step, Xfinity was incompetent or dishonest..  It gave me an appointment when it shouldn’t.  Then I was inaccurately told a technician was on site when he wasn’t.  Then an agent told me he was on his way, when he wasn’t.  Then the appointment was cancelled without any kind of notice to me while I still stood there, outside, in the heat, for 90 minutes, waiting for the technician.  I have absolutely nothing good to say about xfinity.
