Scammers claim unable to update my modem for updated network
Someone just called us (obviously sitting in a chatty call center area) saying they’ve been unable to remotely update our internet modem to match updates made to the Comcast network. I thought for a second and said I own my own modem. They repeated their need to update it or we lose internet access. I repeat, you don’t own/manage my internet modem. He paused, started to say the same thing then I think realized he’s not gonna have success fooling us, then hung up…

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
