Scammers Attempting to Set-Up Service at my Address and Xfinity won't do anything.
Hello,
I have been in contact with the Xfinity Assisstant, over the phone with agents, and in-store now to find some resolution for the problem I'm running into, and no one has been able to solve my problem.
Since 11/28/24, I have been getting emails 1-2 times a month that someone is attempting to set-up service at my address and I've had to request to cancel theirs each time. Each time someone attempts to set-up up service we also receive a set-up kit. We have had to return EIGHT set-up kits now that we didn't request.
Finally today, I went in store, as the Xfinity Assisstant told me to yesterday, and was told I'm practically out of luck and will need to deal with this every month for the rest of my time at this address. This is a terrible option and advice when this problem isn't caused by myself and should be easily resolved by Xfinity as this is their system causing this problem.
Is there not a way for Xfinity to set-up a digital lock on my address like the in-person lock that is already there? Or why does Xfinity not require proof of address online like they do in person? I feel that this NEEDS to be a requirement so this can't happen to people.
Any help you can to prevent this from happening anymore would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for connecting with us here, @user_t2cd1t. Sorry about the experience with the service attempts. I wonder if this is someone trying to connect service, but has the wrong address. I've seen this happen in the past. If you live in an apartment, I would recommend letting your leasing office know, especially if there is a name attached to the package, so your leasing office can get in contact with them to correct the issue.
