Scam with router
I had the same experience with someone identifying from Xfinity telling me the security updates were not going through. Gave me a code to place on my computer. When i told him i would take my modem into the store he hung up. Now i will not do anything through the phone with Xfinity not knowing if it is a scam.

We would never require anyone to place a code on your computer to do something like that.
