Rural line hookup

Hello, i called Xfinity to do a serviceability study on getting connected to internet, they quoted me ~$14,000  which is not feasible from any standpoint.  I have a ditch digger and plan on just running my own line out to where they can service it but i have not been able to get a solid answer if they will hook up to my install, or even where their closest drop is.  Is this possible? if not what are some other options? Put a small Out-Building at the end of the property for them to connect to? then just run my line from there? Thank you in advance.

Hello there. This is a great question. Cable lines can only go 300ft before they loose signal. If your property is more than 300ft to our main feed, it will require special equipment to be put in place, to power an adequate signal. This makes the cost go up significantly, as you can see from the quote itself.

There may also not be any main line that goes past your property, which is another reason for the price. It would cost that much to run bigger lines to go to your property. If this is the case, we would then need more equipment to make a connection point and is something we would not cover the cost for and would be on the customer to cover that cost.

@XfinityWilliam the line is in front of my property and my next door neighbor has it. Will they be able to terminate to an out building and if so how would I get a serviceability person out to tell me where to place the building.
