run new email filter on existing emails
I have set up a new email filter. I want to run it now on the entire existing inbox. How do I do that?

Good morning, @user_a99q9h ! 😊 Thank you for your reply. I know it can be a little frustrating when you've created a filter and expect it to organize existing emails automatically.
Unfortunately, Xfinity Webmail does not have a "Run Now" option for existing messages. New filters will only apply to emails that arrive after the filter has been created.
To organize emails already in your inbox, you'll need to do the following:
• Search for the emails manually using the Xfinity inbox search bar. Enter the sender's email address, keywords, or other criteria that match your filter.
• Select the matching emails from the search results and move them to the desired folder, or delete them if that's your preference.
• For large numbers of emails, you may find it easier to connect your Xfinity email account to a desktop application such as Outlook or Apple Mail using IMAP. Many email clients allow you to apply rules to existing downloaded messages, making bulk organization much easier.
For additional information about managing email settings and filters, you can visit the https://www.xfinity.com/support/email.
I hope this helps clear things up! Please let us know if you have any questions or need assistance with anything else, we're always happy to help. 💙
