Run my own service line up to the Comcast junction

I live down a 1 mi dirt road. Comcast has lines right at the top of my street but his quoted me $60,000 to run a line to my house. I understand it's expensive but I could easily run my own line and have a buried for cheaper than that as I already have most of the equipment. My question is would Comcast allow me to run and bury my own line and just hook up to the line at the top of the street so I may gain access. Obviously I would still pay the monthly fees and all of that just trying to find a way around paying $60,000 to get a line run.

Greetings, @user_r3nozf! Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about your service line. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Regulations can vary from state to state, but the construction team who provided your estimate should be able to verify if they can amend the project to reduce the run length. Have you already tried to contact them about this, or has it been a while since the estimate was written up?

The estimate is a few months old. I will have to reach out and see if they can get me an estimate. I imagine quite a few permits are required to run the cable. It is at least good to know that that may be an option.

Hey @user_r3nozf, thank you for reporting back to us. If the estimate is old, it never hurts to see if anything has changed. We'd also be happy to reopen the serviceability ticket or open a new one to see if we can assist with getting an update quote. If you'd like for us to reach out to our serviceability team, please send us a Direct Message to get started.
