Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_6nqqnj We do not do speed checks for routing equipment but mainly your modem which could also house the WiFi module and route your network traffic as well. That being said, if we have noticed you're using a modem that does not support the speeds we can push to your account, we'll send you that communication with options and information about how/why to upgrade. All of our current Next Gen Xfinity Internet plans include the Xfinity Wireless Gateway inside the service cost and if you're in the current plans you can use one of our devices without any change to your monthly rate. You can use our Xfinity Labels tool to verify what speeds we can offer your address and cross check your own equipment to ensure it can support the faster speeds of our mid-split and full-duplex infrastructures.
