Router Delivered Too Early Before Move-in

Hello, I am moving at the end of the month and set up my Xfinity so service would stop September 30 at my old place and start October 1 at my new place. However, as soon as I arranged that, my new router was shipped to the new address that I won't move to until October 1. I want to make sure that I am not responsible for this package if it gets stolen in the next 3 weeks before I move and that I can get sent another router at the proper time.
