Returning old router and using new router before moving

I have received a new Xfinity router for use with a new account at the house where I am moving to soon. But I am still using an old Xfinity router at my current address for the moment, until my current service ends. Can I use the new Xfinity router now, or must I wait until actually moving? How long do I have before having to return the old router -- from when the new service starts, or from when the new router arrives? Thank you.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_43n11b Those are great questions, that we can help with. I would recommend to use your current (not new) modem as the new modem should be already coded for your new address. Usually you have 14-days to return the equipment. If you see any unreturned equipment charges at any time, then you can still return the equipment and the charges will be removed.
