re-string our cable?

Hi, our cable line is being stretched by a street tree and there's also a second cable line that is strung to our house but is unused. I'm wondering if Xfinity can come out and remove both lines and re-string a new cable? (It should be easy to string a cable that does not touch any branches in that tree.)

claud9999 are you able to let us know if trees and branches need to be cut?

Hi, the cable can be strung over the branch and will not require any cutting. Right now it goes under a big (~6") branch and is taught.

Thank you, reason we ask is that the technicians are not able to do any cutting of branches that may be entangled or in the way.

Is this affecting your service at this time? (this is to determine the type of visit that gets scheduled)

It is not affecting service, not urgent but it is a "ticking time bomb". Thanks for adding this to the service queue.
