Resetting Purchase Pin on a "New" Xfinity Router...
I just had a new router delivered and I installed it a couple of weeks ago. Somehow, it has a purchase PIN setup on it that I didn't configure. I just spent almost an hour with Level 1 support, and they were useless. I need to know how to reset a Purchase Pin that I did not set on this new Xfinity Router. You can display and reset your system Security PIN from logging on to portal for God's sake, why you can't reset a Purchase Pin the same way baffles me. Almost as much as how a "Brand New" router from Xfinity had one configured?? Or is there a generic PIN setup on new routers by default? It's just me so I don't require a PIN if I want to purchase some show. So ridiculous.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
