Requesting XB8 modem

I called customer service twice (4/8 and 4/12) to request XB8 modem and both times received an XB7 the model I currently have and then had to drive 25 minutes to return to nearest store who also didn't have XB8.  The last rep told me the warehouse just shipped whatever was in stock regardless of what is requested.

The XB8 was released on 04/05 and has been very limited since then due to such a high demand for this amazing piece of equipment. With that said, I would be more than happy to look further into this for you in order to see what might have happened. I was told same thing at a store and then by a customer representative on phone that he couldn’t guarantee I would get the 8 it maybe the 7 which I already have why make a big deal releasing info saying 4/5/22 if you don’t have a supply why not just wait another month and this is what man on phone said check back in a month. this company just doesn’t get it

Hey there @Jgoalie! The XB8 did release on 4/5/22 but has been in very high demand so we do have a limited stock at the moment. When we place an order for an XB8, there is no guarantee that one will go out due to the limited quantity. We hope to have more stock available in the near future. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Yea they told me they would order it but I might not get xb8 could be older version which I have. Why didn’t they just hold off another month to get  supply ii stock also they have been talking about this since January
