Requesting Provisioning Change to Member-Owned Router on Fiber ONU

Hello,
I am writing to request a provisioning change on my residential fiber account. I am removing my leased Xfinity Gateway and moving to a Member-Owned Router configuration.
My setup utilizes a standalone physical Xfinity ONU (Optical Network Unit) connected to a separate router.
Could a representative please update my account provisioning codes to reflect a Customer-Owned Modem/Router (COAM) instead of the Xfinity Gateway? I need the correct boot file pushed to my physical ONU so that it releases the old MAC address lock and allows my personal router to pull a public WAN IP address over the Ethernet port.
Please let me know if you need any account verification details to get this process started. Thank you!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello, @user_vwh6mv we'll need to change the equipment type in our billing system so your Xfinity gateway deactivates and then the COAM will take over. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"

As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press Enter to send it.

The technician came and we figured it out it's the ONU need to be reset. It works out  when we activated a new ONU to replace the old one. Thanks for all the help.

Wonderful @user_vwh6mv! That's great news to hear our expert technician was able to come out and make the switch to customer owned routing. Never hesitate to create another public post for any of your future account and service needs!
