Request XB8 Gateway Modem Upgrade

Depending on your speed plan you may need to upgrade your modem, our XB8 modem is reserved for our customer who have 1.2 Gbps/35 Mbps or above.

 

The XB7 is reserved for our customer who have speeds of 500/20 Mbps up to 1.0 Gbps/20 Mbps.

 

If you have a speed plan between 500mbps and 1.0 Gbps then the XB7 should produce more that enough speed.

 

Most gaming providers do recommend for the ultimate gaming experience to hardwire your connection from your gaming system to the modem.

 

In our home my son only plays the game via hardwired connection due to other devices running that could have an impact on how your Wi-Fi connection is impacted such as other devices running, such as microwaves or cordless phones. One thing I also recommend is to have your modem in an open and clear space, at least three feet off the floor, no bookshelves no closets, my house is really small and I did have some Wi-Fi connection issues upstairs and what I did is move my modem to end table that was free clear of any devices.
