Request to remove an unused exterior coaxial drop line

Hello Xfinity Support,

I recently moved into a home with an unused coaxial drop running from the utility pole to the exterior of the house. This connection is not in use, and I would like the unused exterior drop removed.

Please have the appropriate Comcast/Xfinity line or maintenance team verify whether the drop belongs to Comcast and arrange removal if it can be removed without affecting neighboring customers. This request is for my new residence, not an old address associated with my disconnected Xfinity account.

Please let me know how to send the property address privately, and provide a service request/ticket number and expected timeframe. Please advise of any proposed charges before authorizing paid work.

Thank you.

user_sosbg8 Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to our team here on our Xfinity Forums for help with having the line removed. Congratulations on your new home! I'm sure you are excited to get everything settled and things set the way you would like them to be. If there is an exterior cable that belongs to Xfinity I can enter a request to have the line removed.

Can you please send us a direct message with your name and service address?
Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
