reporting a scam email

I received an email supposedly from xfinity ...this is what it said..."You are receiving this email because we believe there have been some questionable sign-in activities on your account. Therefore we are suspending your account services until you can verify the device you're currently signed in on..."  I'd think it was just a scam email except that I'm unable to send messages now when I'm signed in through Mozilla but can access email through Chrome

Hey, user_634e85! Thanks for reaching out to us on the Xfinity Forums! I apologize to hear that you ended up with this email. When you try to send a message through webmail while logged in through Firefox, do you get another email with the same information or does it just not send? Do you get the same thing if you try to log in while in a private browsing session?
