Replacing my xg1v4

I have a 4K TV and my own router. My current XG1v4 coax box is failing and dropping the picture. I need an exact replacement XG1v4 shipped from the warehouse. Can anyone help?

The concern is not "Community Center" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thanks for reaching out @keithstone99. I can understand wanting the same model replaced, especially since you have a 4K TV. Are you seeing this issue on multiple channels? Does it happen during commercial breaks too?

Hello, yes happens randomly, any channel any time, even when watching live tv or dvr or xfinity stream movie.  My box came to be as a refurbished se years ago.

We appreciate those details @keithstone99! These help narrow this down the problem being either the signal the box is receiving or the box itself.

Have you had a chance to check if the coaxial connections going into the box and the wall outlet the box is connected to are finger tight? If there is a splitter between the box and wall outlet we will want to make sure all the splitter's connections are finger tight.

Thank you for confirming that information @keithstone99 -we appreciate it!

We can absolutely help get a replacement box shipped out to your home. To get started, please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name, along with the service address on the account.

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

We look forward to working with you further.
